The PULIS SA SKEWLAHAN program of the Patnongon PNP is a proactive initiative aimed at ensuring the safety and security of students in Patnongon, Antique. The program involves Police Officers visiting schools to conduct lectures and demonstrations on various topics such as crime prevention, anti-bullying, drug abuse prevention, and disaster preparedness.
The program provides an opportunity for students to interact with Police officers in a positive and friendly manner, breaking down any barriers that may exist between the community and law enforcement. Through this program, the Patnongon PNP hopes to cultivate a culture of trust and cooperation between the police and the community, ultimately leading to a safer and more secure environment for all.

"People tell you the world looks a certain way. Parents tell you how to think. Schools tell you how to think. TV. Religion. And then at a certain point, if you're lucky, you realize you can make up your mind. Nobody sets the rules but you. You can design your own life."

At about 10:30 am on January 24, 2023, the Cadet together with Patnongon MPS personnel under the direct supervision of PCPT BERLYN C VISDA OIC and with Ms. Reggie Escaño of KASIMBAYANAN Faith Based Group conducted an awareness lecture to the students and teachers of Igburi National High School headed by Mr. Edwin Acub Principal regarding Sim Registration Act, Crime Prevention Tips, Anti-Rape, Illegal drugs, E-CLIP program, Anti-Terrorism, Responsible use of social media and to promote PNPA in line with KASIMBAYANAN Program of PNP
In this activity, the Cadet together with some personnel of the Patnongon MPS went to the Igburi National high school to conduct awareness and to promote the PNPA to Senior High School students of said school. In that school, I meet my former teacher during my high school days and now he is the Principal of Igburi National High School I meet also my schoolmate, my junior at LIrio M Escaño National High School and he is already one of the teachers of said school. We have a short conversation and at that time one thing come to my mind we all are proud products of LMENHS a public school and from the University of Antique also a public school that’s why I said only in my mind that you’re the one who decides for your destiny and being a graduate of public school is not a reason why you can’t achieve your goals because I am a product of public schools from elementary to college and I am very proud of it.
The moment I started talking and promoting PNPA I saw some students that they are not interested because they think PNPA is just an ordinary school that offers criminology courses after a couple of minutes and I told them about the privileges of being a Cadet it was a start that all of them are paying attention I saw that they are amazed about PNPA and they are start asking some question and I saw some of them are so interested to join the long maroon line of PNPA. After my short talk, I saw and I feel that they are enlightened about the big opportunities that our government offered that’s why I realize that these students are willing to do anything if they know those opportunities before. I think many students will try to be a Cadet if they only know about those service academies before and what are the privileges of being a cadet.

After that activity, I feel very thankful because despite we are coming from a public school we are in this situation of our life. We are given chance to be part of this prestigious Institution the Philippine National Police Academy and we are given chance to inspire others and give them a little hope that even though we are coming from not knowing the province of Antique we can survive those struggles and enable to achieve our dreams it’s a matter of effort and dedication to achieve something you want and what you want would be. It’s my privilege to encourage and impart my experiences to this new generation I hope I inspired them and give them hope that everything you want can be achieved if you exert effort and dedication in everything you do. “Whenever you want to achieve something, keep your eyes open, concentrate, and make sure you know exactly what it is you want. No one can hit their target with their eyes closed.” ~ Paulo Coelho[2]
