"I just want you to know that if you are out there and you are being really hard on yourself right now for something that has happened ... it's normal. That is what is going to happen to you in life. No one gets through unscathed. We are all going to have a few scratches on us. Please be kind to yourselves and stand up for yourself, please."[1] Taylor Swift

On January 23, 2023, the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Cadet, in collaboration with the Patnongon MPS personnel, conducted an awareness campaign on Anti-Rape Law, RA 9262, Safe Space Act, RA 7610, Anti-Terrorism, Sign of Bullying, KASIMBAYANAN, and crime prevention tips. The initiative was a part of the station's "Oplan Pulis sa Skwelahan," PNP PATROL Plan 2030, to educate the students of Saint Agustin's Academy of Patnongon Inc. and encourage them to consider joining the long maroon line of PNPA.

During the dialogue, the PNPA cadet realized that the grade 12 students of the school were unaware of the opportunities like PNPA and other service academies available to them. The Cadet spoke with them, informed them about PNPA and its privileges, and encouraged them to pursue the path less traveled. The Cadet was saddened to learn that the students had never heard of PNPA but were happy to see their interest in the Academy after the informative session. The students asked many questions, and the Cadet gave them the Academy's Facebook page to visit.

The experience taught the PNPA Cadet the value of a simple conversation or words of wisdom in inspiring and having a profound impact on someone's life. The PNP's program of visiting schools for awareness campaigns proved to be an effective way of preventing crimes and strengthening the relationship between the PNP and the community. The dialogue with the students also helped to break down barriers and build trust between law enforcement and the community. As a result of the campaign, the students felt more comfortable and less afraid to approach the PNP personnel. The PNPA Cadet was delighted to witness the positive changes in the relationship between the PNP and the students and was glad to have played a part in it.
