COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM
The Patnongon PNP's Adopt a Family and Feeding Program is a remarkable initiative that has touched the lives of many families in need. The program seeks to assist the most vulnerable members of the community, particularly those who have been affected by the ongoing pandemic. The Patnongon PNP has collaborated with different organizations and local government units to identify and reach out to these families and has provided them with essential goods, such as food, clothing, and other necessities.
The program has not only helped families in need, but it has also strengthened the bond between the police force and the community they serve. It has shown that the police are not only agents of law enforcement but are also compassionate members of the community who genuinely care about the welfare of the people they serve. The Adopt a Family and Feeding Program has become an example for other police units in the country to follow, and it has earned the admiration and respect of the people of Patnongon. It is an excellent demonstration of how a small act of kindness can have a significant impact on the lives of many people, and it is a testament to the power of community engagement in promoting a safer and more harmonious society.

"Generosity is at its core a lifestyle, a lifestyle in which we share all that we have, are, and ever will become as a demonstration of God’s love and a response to God’s grace"

On January 26, 2023, at around 9:30 am, the Cadet, together with the Patnongon MPS personnel under the direct supervision of PCPT BERLYN C VISDA, OIC, conducted a feeding program at Villa Crespo Elementary School in Brgy. Villa Crespo, Patnongon, Antique. The program was done in partnership with the Federation of Bantay Bayan Visayas Region (FBBVR) Inc. and KASIMBAYAN and was sponsored by a Cadet of PNPA.

During the feeding program, the pupils of Villa Crespo Elementary School were served food, and the team was able to witness the happiness it brought to the children. This small act of kindness had a huge impact on them, and it is hoped that this experience will help them view police officers in a more positive light. The program is in line with the station's initiative Kapwa ko Sagot Ko Program, implementation of E.O. 70, CATA, and PNP Core Values Makatao.
Pastor Gabriel Ollague of KASIMBAYANAN FAITH BASE and a member of FBBVR also shared a message about the love of God, which added to the positive impact of the program. The activity took place in a remote area of the Municipality of Patnongon, making it even more meaningful for children who may not have access to these kinds of activities.
Overall, the feeding program was a success, and it is hoped that it will inspire more programs like this in the future to bring happiness and hope to more communities in need.

“If you ask people why they give, the readiest answers offer clues to the mystery. God wants me to. I feel better about myself. Others need it, and I have. I want to share. It's only right.”

On January 26, 2023, at around 2:30 pm, the Cadet, together with the Patnongon MPS personnel under the direct supervision of PCPT BERLYN C VISDA, OIC, conducted an Adopt a Family Program and gave grocery packs to the Virayon Family of Brgy. Igburi, Patnongon, Antique. This initiative was sponsored by a PNPA Cadet to help a less fortunate Patnonganon. The program is in line with the station's initiative Kapwa Ko Sagot Ko Program in the implementation of EO 70, CATA, and PNP Core Values Makatao.

During the program, the team visited the Virayon Family who had been one of the many victims of typhoon Paing. Their homes were destroyed by a flash flood, and they were relocated to a high-ground area still at Brgy. Igburi. The Grandmother of this family was taking care of her PWD Grandson with the help of her youngest son.
The team gave the family a grocery supply to help them with their needs. While the Grandmother was telling them a story about her grandson, the team could see the pain in her eyes. She shared that the grocery supply was a big help for them, as they had nothing and no source of income to support the needs of her grandson.
The Adopt a Family Program was a small act of kindness that made a big impact on the Virayon Family. It is hoped that this initiative will inspire others to reach out and help those in need, especially during difficult times like the aftermath of a typhoon. The Patnongon MPS is committed to its Kapwa Ko Sagot Ko Program and will continue to implement activities in line with EO 70, CATA, and PNP Core Values Makatao to help the community in any way they can.
“ Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you'll find one at the end of your arm... As you grow older you will discover that you have two hands. One for helping yourself, the other for helping others.”
